First Team offers a broad selection of backboards with each pole system. Backboards are available in tempered glass, clear acrylic, steel, aluminum and fiberglass. Tempered glass is used for all competition boards like those found in high schools, colleges, and professional arenas across the country. Our Response™ tempered glass provides the best ball rebound off the board. Look for the logo throughout this website to quickly locate packages that include tempered glass backboards. Acrylic backboards provide the look of glass at a more economical price level. Steel boards are vandal resistant. Aluminum and fiberglass boackboars have an extra measure of rust resistance. Fiberglass also provides "glass-like" ball rebound. However, for authentic gymnasium ball response, no backboard compares to tempered glass.

First Team offers a unique EZ- Crank system on selected basketball systems and will be used by younger players varying in age, and "adjustable" unit is a must. Only an adjustable goal system will adequyately accommodate a variety of age groups. An adjustable goal system may also be desired by players who enjoy lowering the basket to dunk. If various goal height adjustments are not necessary, a "fixed-height" is the best choice. Most often, this is the case when players are old enough to compete strictly at the regulation 10' goal height. However, many of our "fixed-height" systems can be bolted together at heights lower than 10' if required. Institutional Basketball Systems features only competition-grade, commercial/institutional-level basketball systems that are affordably priced for your organization or institution. All of the systems offered here are guaranteed to provide the durability and playability required for high-level competition at the institution/organized-competition level.
BE AWARE: Many manufacturers offer warranties on their residential/private-consumer systems that are VOIDED if the system is used at the institution level. Residential/private-consumer systems are designed for single family dwelling use.

The Titan offers infinite adjustability, maximum rigidity,
maximum durability and performs like it came straight out of the arena!
The Titan's massive 6" square, 3/16" thick vertical
post and extra heavy-duty dual-strut extension arm provide the toughest,
most rigid standard in the industry. The post is set back 4 feet from
the backboard to maximize safety. The bolt down anchor footing allows
you to easily remove the unit if you move.
Our EZ-Crank™ adjustment means players of any age,
size or ability can change the rim height. To adjust, simply turn the
crank handle. The Titan is infinitely adjustable from 10' to 6½'.
The rim height indicator shows the height of the rim.
Our "Double Spring-Assist" makes
raising and lowering the goal easier even with our regulation size 42"x72"
backboards.
