NOTE: Traditional 48"x72" backboards are still used in many
high schools and colleges today. The FT236 should be
purchased for replacement only. For new installations or
complete gym conversions, First Team recommends the
newer 42"x72" backboards because of the reduced risk of
player injury due to contact with the board
